How To Take A Toothpick Out Of A Clay Bead?

I’m not very coordinated when it comes to thinking ahead. I left a toothpick in a rather large, flat sculpy bead (since I couldn’t take it out when the clay before it had been “kilned”). What should I do to extract it? There’s about enough room to get a grip on the toothpick, and that’s about it. Would a very small drill bit be able to get it out, or could I burn it out without ruining the bead?
